Boiler and Insulation Grants (Eco Scheme)
What is the Energy Company Obligation?
The UK government’s Energy Company Obligation Scheme (ECO) was introduced to help vulnerable homeowners across England, Scotland and Wales with the reduction of their energy bills. The Energy Company Obligation requires the energy suppliers to undertake a range of works to reduce the carbon emissions of homes and also to reduce the home heating costs of certain households in receipt of eligible benefits.
Boiler Grants
A boiler grant is a non-repayable free or subsidised boiler replacement. This is part of the Government (ECO) Scheme set up to help with home improvements for low-income households. It provides qualifying homeowners with access to improving home efficiency in order to reduce the cost of energy bills, as well as carbon footprints when heating their homes.
If you receive a qualifying benefit and your boiler is a minimum of 7 years old, you may be eligible. Once you determine if you qualify, we can arrange a free survey and move on to install your new boiler.
The boiler grant is decided by how efficient your home is and is determined by an energy assessment. In some cases, a small fee may be required or we can install your boiler with an insulation measure.
Insulation Grants
An insulation grant is a non-repayable free or subsidised way of insulating your home. This is part of the Government (ECO) Scheme set up to help with home improvements for low-income households. It provides qualifying homeowners with access to improving home efficiency in order to reduce the cost of energy bills, as well as carbon footprints when heating their homes.
To qualify for an insulation grant, you will need to meet the criteria below. Meeting this criteria will mean we can complete a free survey and get your one step closer to saving on your energy bills.
